I have been working with the bluebirds for the last eight years, I build my boxes and put them where ever people will let put them up. The bluebirds were on the endanger list but they seem to coming back more every year.
This is one of my setups at one of my sites. There has being bluebirds in this box ever since I put it up. I just put a new box here. The birds have been here for the last 10 years. About ever two to three years I have rebuild or replace the box.
This is a picture I took two years ago. These little one are about 4 days old. It's one of the three boxes I have out and next year I hope to have more boxes out. Right the nesting is just beginning and one box has a nest. It's about one to two weeks before the first egg is layed.
This was taken the same day. I hope to get more this year.
